The East Village Design District Foundation is a New York State–registered nonprofit organization, currently pending 501(c)(3) federal tax-exempt status. We’re dedicated to promoting the arts, culture, and community engagement, operating 100% community-focused programs — meaning every dollar donated goes directly into initiatives like educational workshops, youth development opportunities, cultural events, and community support services such as food insecurity programs, public gatherings, and creative spaces. Our mission is to inspire creativity, celebrate cultural heritage, and strengthen connections among people, with transparency and accessibility at the heart of everything we do.

At present, the organization is not hiring paid staff. Operations are sustained through a dedicated network of volunteers and the collaborative oversight of the board. No funds are allocated toward administrative costs; 100% of all contributions are reinvested directly into communities in need.This structure ensures maximum impact and reach, allowing resources to be directed entirely toward mission-driven programs and services. In the future, the organization intends to engage qualified individuals for compensated roles, supported exclusively by funding streams specifically designated for staffing and not derived from general charitable contributions.
